Hampton did not become home to me when I decided to run for office. Hampton raised me.

I grew up in our schools, graduated from Hampton University, became a third-generation shipbuilder, and later served residents through Hampton’s 311 system. Those experiences taught me something simple: public service is not about being seen. It is about being present, listening carefully, and helping people get clear answers.

For years, I have shown up at City Council, worked alongside neighbors, helped residents navigate city services, and pressed issues until they received the attention they deserved. I do this work because I never want what happened to my neighborhood to happen to another community in our city.

RESIDENTS FIRST

Residents should never be the last people informed or the first people ignored. I will listen before major decisions are made, report results back to you, and keep the people who live here at the center of City Hall’s work.

GROWTH WITH PURPOSE

Hampton needs growth, but growth must solve problems instead of creating new ones. Before we approve what comes next, we must consider traffic, housing, drainage, public safety, infrastructure, and the character of our neighborhoods.

PUBLIC CLARITY

You should understand what is being proposed, what it will cost, who it will affect, and why a decision is being made. I will explain major votes in plain language and tell you the truth, even when the answer is uncomfortable.

I am running for Hampton City Council because leadership should not wait until a problem becomes impossible to ignore. It should recognize patterns, ask better questions, and act before residents pay the price.

This campaign is about building Hampton for the people who live here.
